YIRS-33 33kHz Sonde
The YIRS-33 33kHz Non-Metallic Pipe Sonde is a simple transmitter that is designed for use in conjunction with C.Scope Locators in generator/transmitter mode to trace the route of non-metallic pipes below ground.
This helps avoid costly, dangerous gas/water pipe strikes when excavating as part of a utility, construction or rail project.
The YIRS-33 emits a powerful 33kHz signal which can be detected from a depth of up to 7m, depending on the Locator in use. The sonde must be inserted into the pipe to accurately trace its line so it is constructed of a waterproof plastic casing and a stainless steel stud with epoxy resin sealant.
The ingress-protection rating of IP68 certifies the sonde’s durability.
The sonde can be moved into place with a nozzle - fibreglass duct rodder, jetter hose or camera inspection system.
A rod attachment connects to drain rods with a standard 7 T.P.I. thread and the C.Scope YIRS-33 can fit into pipes with a diameter of just 50 mm.
Just one 1.5V AA battery is required to power the C.Scope YIRS-33 for up to 15 hours and it is an extremely useful and practical accessory when tracing non-metallic pipes.
