Safety shroud fake safety or not

There are a lot of different shrouds in the market who protect the last ± 35 cm. with a steel bar. The rest is just a standard textile hose, nice and cheap, what's happens with the operator if the hose starts to leak after ± 50 cm.?? , straight through the "protecting hose" in the operators leg....fake safety!!!
